Role: Designer, Agency Team
Challenge: Design presentations built in Keynote or PowerPoint to support speaker talk tracks on the main stage in front of large audiences at high profile live events for enterprise clients, all under tight timelines. Each project requires quickly absorbing a new client’s brand guidelines and translating them into polished, on brand presentations under fast turnaround pressure.
Solution: I begin each project with a close review of the client’s brand and event guidelines, building an immersive understanding of the color systems, typography, iconography, and elements pulled from Figma. From there, I apply that visual language consistently across draft slides. Since I work as part of a team of designers, each assigned to different speakers, strong communication and organization are key. We stay in constant contact and learn from each other throughout the process to make sure slide design feels consistent across every designer’s work. Knowing the brand so thoroughly, and staying closely connected with the rest of the team, allows us to quickly pivot on design elements when needed, even while working across hundreds of slides and multiple presentations. In the final stages, I refine each presentation with a close design eye, applying consistent animated transitions and timing throughout. I also spot check presentations during rehearsals, catch timing issues, and make last minute design edits before speakers take the stage.
Results: I help speakers walk into high pressure events feeling confident, with polished, on brand presentations that reflect their vision. By staying attentive to their needs and adapting quickly under tight deadlines, I contribute to a design team known for being engaged, flexible, and reliable, even under the pressure of live events.
