Recruitment Magazine

Role: Designer, Louisville High School Advancement Team

Challenge: Design a magazine for print distribution to middle school girls being recruited to attend an all girl private high school. The magazine needed to give prospective students a broad, welcoming overview of what life at Louisville is like, while feeling like a fun, engaging piece of recruitment material rather than a typical brochure. Since some girls might receive the magazine more than once as they moved through middle school, the look and photos also needed to be refreshed each year so it felt current and new each time.

Results: The first edition I designed gave the magazine a fresh, playful direction, and it became an engaging part of the school’s recruiting materials each year. Based on that response, I was brought back to design two follow up editions during my time working with the Advancement Team, each with an updated look and new photography to keep the material feeling current for returning recipients.
